Liebster Award

This in my email inbox … Please be delightfully advised – I nominate you for the Liebster Award … how could these eleven words transpose me into a quivering blogging fugitive? Who for the past five days hasn’t ventured into Wendy’s Window to the World,  I just had no idea what to do about it, or what to say to my new found friend after reading the complete message.

Such a thoughtful action that should have delivered a great deal of pleasure along with ego boasting bragging rights, to any normal thinking writer out there, why not me? Oh  please before we go any further don’t for a minute think I wasn’t secretly thrilled to bits, I’m inwardly stoked and I thank you  blainecindy   for selecting me.

The main reason for this piece it to explain why I have decided to accept the nomination in an honorary capacity only.

 Liebster Blog Award - Honorary

  1. Being a rather private person I enjoy the anonymity of the internet, although well aware this isn’t an Academy Award nomination, I could feel the heat of the spotlight starting to burn the tips of my ears.
  2. To divulge a list of unknown interesting titbits about myself would mean delving into my psyche,  please believe me I’ve heard the rumours, it’s not a place I want to go, thank you very much
  3. To go on and nominate others would be … In my book … putting them in the same position, so I will just come out and say that all writers  are warm, friendly, wonderful creative people,  hopefully that comment will get me of the hook.

It’s amazing how admitting one little emotional frailty not only to oneself but to the world makes me feel so much better. Again thank you Cindy
