Writing 101, Day Five: Be Brief

writing-101-june-2014-class-badge-3It made our day.

Bending down to scoop up the pristine unmarked envelope from the footpath, Oh look at that! I exclaimed to hubby, someone is going to be disappointed, the card is still inside.

Withdrawing the little card and reading the childishly scrawled message, To my darling Nana, I hope you get better soon. Love and kisses Jason OOXX, had us both bursting into giggles, as we hurriedly continued on into the hospital to visit my ill Mother–in- Law.

Approaching her ward down the long corridor we could hear the distress in his voice, we walked in to find my husband’s severely handicapped adult nephew, frantically looking for the card that he had prepared for his much adored Nana and part time carer.
